Ryan and I used to enjoy traveling together and exploring new places. As our family has grown larger and our responsibilities greater, this hobby has not happened as often. In our first trip away from Makenna, we are headed out for three days together without any children.
I forgot how much work it is to pack an entire family (and a baby for that matter) to head out even for a couple of days. Ryan had Family Scout Camp this weekend and I was in Salina for the past two days leading up to the weekend. Here's to an awesome trip to Dallas, reconnecting with a spouse, and hoping we still enjoy spending time together without talking about the next kid's activity or amazing thing the baby did.
